Seeds of Growth™

The Origin of Seeds of Growth™

Seeds of Growth™ was born during a season of personal rebuilding.

After surviving a traumatic car accident, Dr. Cherryl Clark found herself relearning foundational academic skills alongside her son’s fourth-grade class. During that season, she recognized the deep need for programs that cultivated unity, cultural understanding, and positive character development among children.

From that experience, Seeds of Growth™ was developed as a history and cultural sensitivity program designed to foster unity, respect, and healthy peer relationships. Dr. Clark invited community leaders from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds to participate in classroom sessions, modeling understanding and shared leadership.

The program later expanded into structured character-building themes focusing on principles such as attitude, responsibility, integrity, and personal growth.

Seeds of Growth™ was formally presented to the Board of Education and was endorsed and added to a list of recommended programs. Schools across the district scheduled presentations as part of their student enrichment initiatives.

Today, Seeds of Growth™ has evolved into seminars, workshops, and empowerment resources serving women, families, and recovery communities — while maintaining the same foundational principles it was built upon over three decades ago.

Seeds of Growth™ was developed during Dr. Clark’s personal recovery journey and endorsed by the Board of Education. For over 30 years, its principles have evolved to serve multiple communities.
